BORIS HOPPEK (Germany) Presentation
for everybody to love, all the time and everywhere...
“Hello, I’m Boris, son of Horst Hoppek and Heidi
Hoppek. I’ve been living in Barcelona for one year and I’m
full of joy.”
Boris Hoppek doesn’t say much but this seems to be because
he’s working all the time. He creates characters and creatures,
which he recycles in a continual process of variation, as dolls,
installations, animation and graffiti. As De:Bug writes, his Klukluxklan,
bimbos, cannibals and Hitler figures are ...”for everybody
to love, all the time and everywhere...”
We asked him to stage a “live overhead projector battle”
against Neasden Control Centre.
(Nobody quite knows exactly what an overhead projector battle
is yet, but we’re all convinced it’s something fantastic.)
