Character Collision
Pictoplasma Festival 2016 Opener by Jun seo Hahm & David Kamp

The 12th Pictoplasma Festival is about to swing open its gates - so the time has come to brace yourselves for full CHARACTER COLLISION!
As usual, by now the available amount of passes for the main Conference are frighteningly nearing zero. Should you plan to dive head first into next week's XXL all-you-can-eat-character-treatment, you'll need to act fast!

5-7 MAY
PICTOPLASMA CONFERENCE
at BABYLON and VILLA ELISABETH

At the heart of the Festival, the Conference invites a global scene of 700+ creatives and character connoisseurs to gather for 3 dense days of inspiring artist presentations, hands-on workshops, state of the art animation screenings, a fast-paced networking evening and numerous art happenings. Both, the number of available seats and allowed attendees granted entry to the Conference are limited: we expect to be sold out soon!

But even without the Conference pass, the Festival offers endless, wallet friendly opportunities for you to expose yourself to state of the art anthropomorphic appeal:

4-8 MAY
PICTOPLASMA FESTIVAL
at 14+ art spaces in Berlin

The CHARACTER WALK returns with an exhibition agglomeration of 14+ project spaces, galleries and art venues throughout Mitte and Neukölln - all open from May 4-8, all free entry! Printed maps to help you navigate through this madness of character craftsmanship will be provided at all participating exhibition locations.

Additionally 3 fresh feature film length ANIMATION PROGRAMMES compile the very best of today’s characters in motion, with selected work ranging from stylish shorts all the way to highly bewildering psychedelia. All programmes are repeated in the evenings on the big screen of Babylon, with tickets at moderate 8,- Euro available directly at the venue.

And finally, we're spicing up Berlin's Saturday nightlife and shaking off the inevitable visual overfeed with a character-infused POST-PICTOPLASMA PARTY at Urban Spree.
