AUGUST 2017

With the Berlin summer once more struggling to deliver, allow us to mentally fast-forward to when our annual PictoTour brings us elsewhere: we lift off with warm feelings towards sunny Latin America, are joined by 5 new friends along the way, and touch down in the midst of Manhattan.

Here we go...

Pencil-Pride!

2nd
PICTOPLASMA ACADEMY
MEXICO CITY

October 23 – 30, 2017

Coming October the Latin American dependance of our Academy re-opens its campus in the heart of Mexico City, for a unique 8 day Character Design development course filled with hands-on workshops, masterclasses, panel discussions, lectures and personal mentoring sessions.
Featuring an all-star faculty of industry leading artists, animation directors and designers, the course challenges participants to push their personal projects to new height, explore various media and kick-start their professional careers as character designers.

If you have 5 spear minutes to waist, here's a little video from last year's edition, but be aware, application deadline is 1st of September!

Scott Benson in the Woods

6th
PICTOPLASMA NYC
CONFERENCE

November 17, 2017

Joining the previously confirmed speakers such as James Curran (UK), Sean Charmatz (USA), Amandine Urruty (FR) and Edel Rodriguez (CUB), we are proud to announce the participation of Scott Benson, famed self-taught Pittsburgh based animator, game developer, illustrator, and co-founder of the internationally acclaimed animation collective Late Night Work Club. Scott was also the master mind, lead writer and visual artist of the recently released Indie game 'Night In The Woods,' a highly praised adventure focused on exploration, story, and an equally edgy and memorable cast of characters.

And there’s still more to follow…

Good news for all willing to snap into action fast: we still have a reasonable batch of wallet-friendly Early Bird tickets awaiting you at nyc.pictoplasma.com

That's a lot to look forward to,
